Break is almost over
Bah. Break well spent? I don’t really know what I did, but it was fun… not having school. I think I’ve spent most of my time on this heated carpet.
Tomorrow, I’m meeting up with some of the Midd kids from the bay. Ethiopian food for lunch! Then Vincent and Xavier are driving back up to Berkeley/SF and dropping me off at the bowling alley for team bonding for volleyball....
Merry Christmas!
Nothing like chocolate coconut oatmeal to start off the day!
(=
I used to not want to teach violin a lot of the time… but my student is slowly but surely growing on me, hahaha.
Things to do over break
- MHS event todaaaay - friendsfriendsfriends - complete NVO training - start scholarship apps - finish Macbeth, do lit hw - calc practice test
Oh my goshhh
I think I met me in a male version.
So Amherst made an official ED Class of 2016 group for us on Facebook, so we’ve been introducing ourselves and talking and what not. There’s a guy named Demetrius (DEMETRIUS!) who’s totally into music/music history/music composition (AHH), who’s also totally into Eastern European compositions (DOUBLE AHH). I swear, I have never met...
13 hours away from calc finals
And instead, I’m on facebook talking with the Amherst Class of 2016. Hahaha, oh my gosh, WHERE HAVE THESE PEOPLE BEEN ALL MY LIFE.
Yeah, so... I'm in!
Acceptance into Amherst today! And I didn’t realize until afterwards, but today is the 13th, and 13 is my favorite and lucky number! I was so ecstatic that my hands were shaking for the longest time… and then I had to reread the letter twice to make sure I didn’t just imagine it. Hahaha, but jeez, this is incredible. My college application process is over! And I somehow feel...
Music
It’s interesting to see how my taste in classical music has changed from freshman year to now. Random thought.
Time to get back to poetry though. I swear by the time I’m done with this, I’ll have memorized all these poems.
Back from CODA
So… CODA! Let’s just say it wasn’t super fun, but I’m still really glad I had the opportunity to go and I immensely enjoyed it.
Jenn and I left at 5:30 in the morning yesterday, stopped for breakfast, and then got to the Hilton, where we took a charter bus with the other musicians to University of the Pacific. We went straight into rehearsal/seating auditions. I was the...
Oh dear Lord
I thought I was going to die at practice today. So. Out. Of. Shape. And so rusty. My feet hurt. And my knees hurt. But it feels so good to be playing again. Today was the first “official” team practice, since last time we were practicing with the other 18s team. We’ve got our work cut out for us, but I think we’ll be a pretty good group in the end.
But for now, back to...
Oh jeez
So there’s already work today until 5, and I just found out volleyball practice became half an hour longer… so that’s out of the house from 7-10pm for me. Finals in two weeks, what?

Signed!
Looks like I’m playing club this year! :)
First practice today and I’m already loving it. My body somehow suddenly seems to remember how to play + more that I haven’t ever been able to do. About time too, after stumbling over myself for the past month hahaha. So apparently I’ve somehow pulled jump floats out of my pocket! AHHH EXCITED.

The time of my life
I’m sitting here at the Burlington International Airport in Vermont. All the others on my shuttle have already gotten on their flights back home- I have a little over 15 minutes until I board, flying from Newark then into SF. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from Discovery Middlebury, but I’m so glad I went and so thankful to have had the opportunity to come. I wasn’t...

And I’m out!

Wow. Haven't been on in forever.
Summer’s going by way too fast. What have I been doing? Mostly class at De Anza. Commuting there takes 90 minutes. Luckily, Surafael drives me back on M/W, except for I have to stay on campus from 11:30-5:45 those days. Lab is on T/Th, so I get out around 4:30 and get home around 6. Lectures are boring but the labs are more fun, mostly because I talk a lot more. Especially with my awesome...

Fantastic day.
Fun time with my Koreans, dinner with the family (minus the brother), hanging out with mom and sis, and came home to a completely unexpected email from another college coach! Evil planning with Tan for the summer, and I’m excited and motivated AHHHH.
And! Physical therapy AND possibly, finally beginning to run in 2 weeks! YEAH.

Red Cross meeting
Plans for today
Doggie walking!
Teaching Punk more tricks
Practice test SAT Lit
Typing up letter
So Punk is surprisingly quite a smart dog… I’ve been teaching her new commands and she picks up on them REALLY quickly! I taught her roll over a couple of weeks ago, and it only took her about 15 minutes to get it down. Yesterday, I taught her to go back into her doghouse if I point and say...
Fantastic last concert
2 awesome solos, 1 amazing duet, and MS.DAMERON.
AKSDLFJSKLDFJ. I was so freaking excited to see her, I jumped over a chair to get to her and I ended up with this bruise on my thigh hahaha. But man, it was so nice to be able to talk to her. It’s been like what, a year since I’ve seen her? And nothing’s changed!
To all her music students that are reading this- she says that it...
Wow.
I haven’t been on Tumblr in awhile.
I’m just going to post a conversation from the car ride home with Eduardo and Viv earlier this evening, just for safe keeping bwahaha.
(talking about different types of lovers… of course, that’s Viv for you)
Viv: So the first type of lover is the type that feels love through gifts and things. Eduardo: Wow, I bet that’s what you...
You're waiting for a train...: I love my AP Bio... →

Today was our joint AP Phyics+ AP Bio after AP test BBQ, and it was a carnivore’s dream. HOTDOGS AND HAMBURGERS FOR EVERYONE!!
Our regular group of people were just hanging out, and Kevin said something that kinda surprised me, just a little. He said “This group of kids were the nicest class I have ever been with in my four years of high school.”
I thought it was...
NO MORE PHYSICS
Okay, so the AP test was easier than the SAT subject and our finals, wowowow, that was a pleasant surprise. NO MORE PHYSICS THOUGH WHOOPEEEEEE! Well, until college + MCATs, but whatevs. Barbeque during 6th and 7th tomorrow!
Only one more AP test to go, and I think I’ve got this one in the bag! :D
And Stacy,
Gets her very own post from me! Because she’s amazing and qualified for BVALs in the 300 hurdles, AND ran her first 400 on the 4x4 today!
:D
I really need to stop leaving my phone on silent.
I don’t remember where I last left it. -_-
Anyway, 1 AP test down, 2 more to go, along with 3 concerts, 2 SAT subjects, 1 CMEA festival, 1 (last!!) Spanish presentation, and 1 final… It’s hectic, but that’s okay, because it only means SCHOOL IS ALMOST OVER. SAYONARA, JUNIOR YEAR.
Subjective + Objective = Sobjective.
There’s a fine line between logic/reasoning and feelings/emotions, and I’m toeing it.
Boy, am I toeing it.

is what I ate for breakfast this morning. -___-; I come downstairs, telling my mom that I’m late for school, when I notice my sister, eating something. She hears me and I swear, this is like from a movie or something, she turns her head slowly, and I can see the words “HELP ME” just by looking at…
I’ll bake you something and bring it on Sunday!
Oh gosh.
I think I’ve been way too stressed out or something lately. Baking is just so relaxing, and that being said, I’ve been on some baker’s high this week or something. On Sunday I made lemon squares. Monday, cranberry orange scones. Tuesday, raisin maple scones. Wednesday, cinnamon rolls. And today… *drumroll*… mini choco-chip and white chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon...
Calculus homework on a Wednesday morning
Bleh. And productive me takes over.
On a brighter note, I baked cinnamon rolls for my mom this morning. Warm, gooey, wonderfully sticky cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing dripping off… Mmmm… Hahaha too bad I can’t eat any. -_-
So here's how my math class works,
fuckyeahbrianlam:

What we learn in class:
1 + 1
Homework:
-55x + 47x
Test:
39048240x^2(3454x + 84) + 8343x(x - 454)(354 - x)
you don’t even fucking know.
Screw school.
I’m gonna open a bakery after college.
I made omelettes and scones for my mom, my sister, and I for breakfast this morning. And mm, they were good! Spinach/avocado/kale omelettes and cranberry orange scones. Except now we’re all ridiculously full…
Things that need to happen this week:
